Located about halfway between Grand Haven and Macatawa, Pigeon Lake is officially in the Port Sheldon/West Olive region, emptying out into Lake Michigan. The lake itself is popular with boaters, especially the select few who own a home on the shoreline. The lake itself connects to the Pigeon River and Pigeon Creek, ending just east of Pigeon Creek Park. The region draws summer vacationers and outdoor enthusiasts, offering activities such as fishing, kayaking, and swimming in the warmer months.
