It also has more outside exposed seating than any other restaurant on the main street in Saugatuck (Butler Street). Pumpernickel's Restaurant has been located here for close to 40 years. This is one of the most historic buildings in Saugatuck, dating back to 1840. Just for some historical perspective, at the time 202 Butler was built, there were only 26 states in the Union, (Michigan being the last, on January, 26th, 1837).
